What is Shroudpalooza?
Shroudpalooza is a player-run event in the Dungeons & Dragons Online community. We visit each of the 8 DDO game servers and run The Thirteenth Eclipse raid (a.k.a. Shroud) as many times as the scheduled time allows. There are giveaways among the participants of things like DDO Points, and hopefully lots of fun!
How can I participate?
There are many ways the DDO community can participate in Shroudpalooza! Join one of the raid groups in game when we visit your server. Hang out in twitch.tv/ddostream when we are live. Chat in the DDO Discord channel. Donate to the Shroudpalooza team for Extra Life. You can participate in the art contest. You can #Shroudpalooza on Twitter and tell your friends and guildies! Everything contributes to building that DDO community spirit, which is what Shroudpalooza is all about.
When and where can I watch Shroudpalooza?
Shroudpalooza will be live on twitch.tv/ddostream every other Saturday from 4:00-7:00 PM EST starting October 6, 2018.

Why Shroud? Why don’t you run raid X instead?
The Shroud raid turns 10 this year, and it’s one of the most iconic raids in the game. We considered other raids, but the purpose of Shroudpalooza is fun more than completing the raid efficiently. End game raids are more gatekeeper-y in terms of character requirements and needing to pay attention, and we intend to be silly and distracted. Shroud also has the advantage of being a raid with heroic loot that players who reincarnate as well as legendary characters can use.
Keep in mind your Shroudpalooza hosts have to prepare a character on every server. We’re putting in some play time, but not enough to consider snack-time with Strahd on every server, etc. Plus, the Shroud is BonnieBew’s favorite.
Do I have to do anything to join a Shroudpalooza raid group?
You have to own the Vale of Twilight adventure pack and run the five flagging quests to be eligible to do the raid (Coalescence Chamber, Running With The Devils, Ritual Sacrifice, Let Sleeping Dust Lie and Rainbow In The Dark). If your charater is flagged, they can join the raid party, regardless of level or build. We will not be flagging the day of Shroudpalooza, but we can help out in the weeks leading up to each server event. Reach out to your Shroudpalooza hosts through Twitter, the e-mail below, or the forums.
I’ve never raided before. Can I still join?
Absolutely! Shroudpalooza is meant to be a safe space. You can visit the Tools section of this site to learn more about the Shroud raid if you like, but it’s not required. While we aren’t technically doing a teaching raid, we will answer questions. You should not feel pressured about ‘doing it right.’ Please let us know if it’s your first raid or first Shroud so we can look out for you!
I tried to join your raid group, but I wasn’t accepted! WHY?!?
Last Shroudpalooza was first come, first serve. This resulted in some characters joining in 4 raid groups at the expense of those who didn’t get to run any. You’re free to join with different characters, we’re just going to give join requests from characters who have already grouped with us lower priority.
What kind of prizes is Shroudpalooza giving away?
We’ll be giving away a 1500 DDO Point code the day of each event, and raffling off a copy of the Standard Ravenloft expansion and a 60-day VIP code amongst all the participants across all servers after the Cannith event. Art Contest prizes include a 1500 DDO point code and a 60-Day VIP code. The raffle prize for Shroudpalooza donors to the charity Extra Life is a 12-Month VIP code. Additional prizes may be added as we progress.
How do I enter to win a Shroudpalooza prize?
To enter the Extra Life raffle, you must donate at least $5 US through the Shroudpalooza Extra Life page on or before December 26, 2018.
To be eligible for any of the art contest prizes, you must submit a usable entry on or before December 1, 2018. (In general, it’s usable if you could also post it on the DDO forums.) Each participant who submits a usable art entry is eligible for a 60-day DDO point raffle. Evennote, Tholgrin and BonnieBew with pick their 4 favorite art entries (assuming there are more than 4) and provide a poll for the DDO community to select the winner of a 1500 DDO point code.
To be eligible for any of the live-stream giveaways, you must either participate in a Shroudpalooza raid group, participate in DDOstream chat, or participate in any social media prompts during the live stream.
